The AFPM (American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers), is one of the leading trade associations representing the U.S. refining and petrochemical industries. Its members operate 95 petroleum refineries with the capacity to process more than 16 million barrels of crude oil and other feedstocks per day. For KEWAZO, AFPM membership is an important step in deepening our presence in the North American industrial market.

After more than two years of attending AFPM conferences, we have built strong relationships with leaders across refining and petrochemicals, including representatives from Phillips 66, ExxonMobil, Marathon, Valero, HF Sinclair, CHS, and others.

Our membership application was endorsed by Jim Irwin, SVP Refining at CHS, as required for AFPM Associate membership. AFPM’s Associate membership is designed for companies with a special interest in petroleum refining or petrochemical manufacturing, and its application process includes endorsement by an AFPM Board Member.

This year, KEWAZO saw strong engagement at the AFPM Annual Meeting and the National Occupational & Process Safety Conference, two major industry gatherings for executives, decision-makers, technical experts, and safety professionals in refining and petrochemicals. Becoming an AFPM member gives KEWAZO a stronger platform to engage with industry leadership and contribute to conversations around safety, efficiency, and automation in industrial operations.
