Working Student in Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)

As soon as possible we are looking for a

Working-student position - Part-time - Garching b. München

Your tasks:

Be responsible for the entire product design chain of one of the subsystems (from concept to final product)
Design and develop components and assemblies
Prepare drawings and BOMs according to design guidelines
Build test stands and prototypes in our own equipped workshop to verify the design process
Research and decide on material selection, standard components, and innovative systems
Prepare technical documentation for manufacturing and certification
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the integrity of the entire product

Your profile:

Bachelor- or Master-level student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or in a comparable discipline
Sound experience with CAD software, preferably with SOLIDWORKS
Knowledge of material science and metal processing is a plus (steel welding, aluminum welding, laser cutting, water jet, forming, CNC, etc.)
Experience in designing metal structures and lightweight frames is a plus
Experience with FEM analysis is a plus, preferably with SOLIDWORKS simulation and/or ANSYS
Knowledge of German industry standards is a plus
Experience in dealing with suppliers is a plus
Hands-on experience in prototyping is a plus
Strong problem solving skills and independent working style
Proficiency in spoken and written English; proficiency in German is a plus
