Head of Sales (m/f/d)

Permanent position · Full-time · Garching b. München

We are seeking a driven, experienced, and highly motivated Head of Sales, who will lead global company sales, structure the company’s sales strategy, and build up a successful sales department. Join us if you are not afraid of uncertainties, can work under great pressure, and are ready to jump off your comfort zone at any moment. You will be reporting directly to the executive team and the Board, undertaking global initiatives, and delivering key sales figures.

Your Role:


  • Field expert: You are a doer not only a strategist. You follow a complete sales cycle, frequently getting your hands dirty and traveling on sites.

  • Sales Leader: You are guiding, organizing, and motivating sales efforts within the organization. Your role involves establishing crucial sales objectives, ensuring their achievement, and evaluating KPIs.

  • Department manager: You are building and leading the sales team, and hiring new team members. You will coordinate European and US sales teams.

  • Explorer: You are bringing new products to new markets, testing new sales practices, and adapting to changes quickly. Dealing with rejection and uncertainty boosts your motivation instead of causing stress.


Your Profile:


  • Strong track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Head of Sales or VP of Sales

  • Working experience in a startup is a strong plus

  • Bachelor and/or Master degree in a related field or MBA

  • Experience in a high-tech hardware/robotics company is a strong plus

  • Experience in energy and/or construction sectors is a strong plus

  • Excellent English

  • Willing to relocate to Munich (unless you are located in the US)

  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Good German / French is a plus
