Simulation Engineer FEM (m/f/d)

As soon as possible we are looking for a

Permanent position - Full-time / Part-time - Garching b. München

Your tasks:

Perform strength and fatigue analyses for all components of our system
Analyse and evaluate simulation results
Document results for certification purposes in professionally-made reports
Calculate bolted joints and welded connections
Support the mechanical engineering team during development by simulating subassemblies in ANSYS and SOLIDWORKS Simulation, e.g. for the purposes of weight optimization
Carry out physical load tests and other validation measures with our robotic system
Help occasionally with design tasks

Your profile:

You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, or in a comparable discipline
You have 3-5 years of professional experience with FEM simulations and mechanical engineering
You have profound knowledge of FEA tools, especially ANSYS. Experience with SOLIDWORKS Simulation is an advantage
You have experience with CAD software, preferably with SOLIDWORKS
Knowledge of and experience with FKM guidelines
Experience with industry-specific DIN standards, EN standards, Eurocode 3, Eurocode 9, and VDI 2230
Experience with "FKM inside ANSYS" is an advantage, as well as experience in the preparation of computational design verifications
Knowledge of materials science and metal processing is an advantage, especially aluminium and steel welding
Hands-on experience in design and prototyping is an advantage
Strong problem solving skills and independent working style
Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must
Proficiency in German is an advantage
