As soon as possible we are looking for a

Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Permanent position · Full-time / Part-time · Garching b. München

Your tasks:

Be responsible for the entire product design chain of one of the subsystems (from concept to final product)
Design and develop components and assemblies
Prepare drawings and BOMs according to design guidelines
Build test stands and prototypes in our own equipped workshop to verify the design process
Research and decide on material selection, standard components, and innovative systems
Prepare technical documentation for manufacturing and certification
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the integrity of the entire product

Your profile:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a comparable discipline
Several years of experience in similar positions in Germany is an advantage, ideally in the areas of elevator construction or construction machinery
Sound experience with CAD software, preferably with SOLIDWORKS
Knowledge of material science and metal processing (steel welding, aluminum welding, laser cutting, water jet, forming, CNC, etc.)
Experience in designing metal structures and lightweight frames
Experience with FEM analysis is an advantage, preferably with SOLIDWORKS simulation and/or ANSYS
Knowledge of German industry standards is an advantage
Experience in dealing with suppliers
Hands-on experience in prototyping is an advantage
Strong problem solving skills and independent working style
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Proficiency in German is an advantage
